Robert Pattinson’s Opinion of 'The Batman Part II' Script Revealed

0 7

Robert Pattinson’s thoughts on the script for the highly anticipated Matt Reeves-directed The Batman Part IIhave surfaced. Bruce Wayne himself apparently thinks highly of the upcoming sequel, an opinion that was passed along by none other than Reeves, who echoed Pattinson’s feelings of the script and movie as a whole.

The follow-up to 2022’s critically acclaimed The Batman has sparked several questions following the announcement of its filming schedule and release date. Among the many topics fans are discussing is whether the popular spinoff show The Penguin could come into play, given that Colin Farrell’s Oswald “Oz” Cobb was a secondary antagonist in the original The Batman.

When Reeves and co-writer Mattson Tomlin finished the script for The Batman Part II, it led to plenty of rumored internal praise. While it’s not surprising that Reeves is a fan of the script, he revealed that his high expectations for the movie are aligned with Pattinson, as both believe it will be better than the original, per Only Comic Universe.

“I really do think this movie will be better than the last. Robert Pattinson feels that way, we’re very excited about it,” Reeves reportedly said.

Indie Wire added that Reeves said that Pattinson was “super excited” about the script, with both comments adding even more fuel to an already hot fire regarding excitement for the 2027 film.

Success of ‘The Batman’ Fueling Significant Hype for Sequel

Pattinson’s debut film as Bruce Wayne drew rave reviews from critics and fans alike. Interestingly, the more than 10,000 verified fan reviews of The Batman that poured in on Rotten Tomatoes averaged out to an impressive 87 percent rating, which was ultimately slightly higher than the overall critics’ score.

After a total of 528 critics’ reviews were averaged out on the popular review site, it came out to an 85 percent rating, which also earned The Batman a “certified fresh” label.

The Batman Part II is expected to begin filming in April or May of 2026, and currently has a release date set for Oct. 1, 2027.
