Why We Love This Deal
Getting out on the trail is never better than it is in the fall. With autumnal weather fast approaching, it’s not a bad time to make sure you’ve got a pair of trail runners that will help you get the most out of the season. Lately, some have found themselves shifting loyalty over to new Canadian luxury running brand Norda. And though the brand's shoes are rarely on sale, you can snag a pair for nearly $60 off at Huckberry (if you hurry).
The Norda 001 Trail Running Sneaker is just $228 at Huckberry right now, a 20% discount from its normal $285 price tag. The trail shoe is offered in seven colorways, but only black is both on sale and with good size availability left. If the one you need sells out, Backcountry may still have some in stock.

What Runners Should Know
- Construction: Proprietary lightweight, abrasion-resistant woven bio-based Dyneema and Cordura nylon upper; custom Norda and Vibram SLE midsole; TPU insole; rubber Norda and Vibram outsole
- Safety: Hi-vis reflective elements on front and rear
- Fit: Runs about a half-size small
Norda was founded by experienced long-distance runners in Montreal to make running shoes with the “perfect combination of fit, cushion, grip, weight, breathability, and material innovation.” The 001, which was in the prototype stage for over two years, has become something of a cult favorite in the five years since its initial release because of its durable and lightweight build, due largely to Norda’s use of proprietary materials.
Performance-wise, the shoe's TPU insole offers the “highest possible” energy absorption and return, while the Vibram outsole can get traction on uneven, wet, and otherwise treacherous surfaces. It all adds up to a shoe that’s built for long-distance running, and a quick perusal of Reddit's r/trailrunning thread shows that it’s the most serious runners who like them the most. They report that these shoes can last up to 1,600 km, a truly impressive spec in this product category that will justify their high price for many.
As for the price, these shoes have sold out at nearly every retailer that carries them. At REI, for example, only two sizes of the black colorway are available. The likely impetus for this sale and the dwindling stock across retailers is Norda’s recent release of an updated version of this shoe, the 001A.

What Customers/Reviewers/Shoppers Are Saying
Huckberry reviewers love these shoes; 23 of 26 gave them a five-star rating. One reviewer wrote that they are “durable, comfortable, and stylish” enough to be a “go-to travel and adventure shoe.” They’ve worn them hiking and trail running, and even to the office, and they’ve done well in all of those situations.
Another customer agreed that these are “very comfortable shoes for both walking and running. The toe box is wide and the footbed is very soft and forgiving without feeling unstable,” a common problem with shoes from other brands. These shoes have been so great that they’re getting another pair as a backup; always the most impressive endorsement a product, particularly an expensive one, can get from a customer.
This deal is a great opportunity to get a premium product for a discounted price, to experience all the benefits of the Norda 001 Trail Running Sneakers that serious runners have been talking about for years. Just make sure you get yours ASAP, as everything about this situation—hot brand, discontinued product, rare discount, stock already very low—suggests that supplies will not last much longer.
