Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson Says He's Losing More Weight After Shedding 30 Pounds
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson went viral when photos and videos showed him sporting a slimmer physique at the Venice Film Festival.
Johnson was promoting his new movie, The Smashing Machine, and some fans felt the muscle and weight loss rendered him unrecognizable.
Now, the actor has confirmed in a new interview that he lost the muscle mass for a movie role, but it's not for The Smashing Machine. And he says he's not done losing.

According to Variety, Johnson has shed 30 pounds of muscle already. But he's not done. It's all part of the actor's desire to be seen as a dramatic actor and not remain typecast in action hero roles.
He is losing weight to play a character called "The Chicken Man" in a movie called Lizard Music, Variety reported, noting that the character is 70 years old.
"The Rock" is "about to undertake another radical transformation" for that role, Variety added.
“I still have a long way to go,” he told reporters, according to Variety.
“I’m so excited to get a chance to hopefully transform again like I was able to do in ‘Smashing Machine,'” Johnson added. “[It means] eating less chicken.”
'The Rock' Admits: 'This Is Me Slimmed Down'
According to Page Six, "The Rock" made those and other comments to the press on Sept. 8 while at the Toronto Film Festival for The Smashing Machine.
“This is me slimmed down,” he said, according to Page Six. “In the process of slimming down. I still have a long ways to go.”
Some fans aren't certain about his new look, however, with some of them joking on social media that he has turned himself from "The Rock" into "The Pebble."
