Kayak and paddleboard adventures on Wabun Lake

It was a beautiful sunny summer weather today that provided us with an opportunity to visit Wabun lake in the Calabogie region of Ontario. Joined by our good friends Phil and Julie we paddled around the small lake exploring all its little coves and backwaters. The lake features steep granite shorelines and crystal clear water surrounded by thick forests of pine, cedar and oak trees. At times we paddled across large weed beds that resembled forests. An empty campsite made for a great lunch break and an opportunity to stretch our legs. So lucky to have these incredible places nearby to enjoy.
