REEL WORLD VOL.9 – #21 Eirik Hansen (NOR)

A huge year for Mr Highwater Hansen! See just what he got up to throughout 2024.

« 2024 started with a winter rainstorm in Scotland which provided me with two weeks of epic kayaking. In May and June I received horrible news, but still I explored Iceland only to find hundreds of meters of freefall, first descents and a sore but not broken body. The path back to love on whitewater was founded yet again. The Norwegian season was stout and a highlight was completing the first ever double todo Raundalen together with Martin V and Zack P. Innumerable laps on Sogndal was done before I flew to India and raced in the monsoon jungle of Kerala. After many more laps of Sogndal I got called back to the Rondu gorge and did the most complete descent of my life so far, running as many stouts as possible. The year ended in a shorty cag, doing laps on the best whitewater ever in Chile. This has been the most stacked year of my life so far, and its been epic.
