In 2024, their relentless advocacy included securing a national low-head dam inventory, partnering on major river conservation initiatives, and organizing iconic events like Gauley Fest. AW’s unwavering dedication to protecting waterways, advancing paddler access, and promoting dam removals continues to set the standard for environmental stewardship. This award is a small acknowledgment of their immense contributions and the global impact of their work.
