Maine summer fun, Portland Head lighthouse and Portland wander

Wet day so we opted to visit the Portland Head lighthouse and the city of Portland Maine. The skies opened up not long after we arrived at the lighthouse but it did not stop us having a look around. At one point we had to take shelter as the rain was pounding down pretty hard. Other than getting a bit wet we enjoyed the visit. Our next stop was in Portland itself where it dried out a bit as we checked out the wharf and harbour district. Loads of interesting shops and things to see. Great architecture around this very touristy area of the city. Tasty lunch at Grittys Brew Pub and more wandering to see the wharfs and the active fishing industry.
