Kayak Fishing The Dana Point Kelp Beds For Sheephead
Rock Fish season opened on March 1st and I finally made it out to target Sheephead!!
It felt so good to get out on the open water and put some miles in. This was my first long distance trip since my knee replacement surgery.
The goal was to peddle 3-4 miles north of the harbor and clip onto the kelp. Conditions were near perfect but the bite was pretty slow. Thats ok because I was able to put a few on the kayak and I felt pretty good.
