L4 Swift Water Rescue Class

GREAT NEWS!

GCA is offering a full L4 Swift Water Rescue Class this year at no charge! Francheska Hebden has agreed to teach a class for us the weekend of October 18-20, 2019. This is a full weekend class. It starts on Friday October 18th at 6:00 pm and runs through Sunday afternoon. The water portion of the class (Saturday and Sunday) will be on the Ocoee river but you do NOT need to be able to paddle the Ocoee to participate in the class. The classroom section of the class (Friday night) will be at Thunder Rock Campground. You can also camp at Thunder Rock if you would like.

Please be aware that you will spend a considerable amount of time in the water for this class so be sure to have appropriate clothing for this event. Wet suits or dry suits will be needed.

This class will be limited to 10 participants. You must be a current club member to participate in this event. To sign up, log onto the website and go to the calendar. Find the class listed on the calendar and click on it for more information. Once there, you will be able to RSVP for the class.

Because the class is limited to 10 people, please be sure that you can attend before signing up for a space in the class. If, for some reason, you sign up for the class and find out you will not be able to attend, PLEASE log back in and change your RSVP to “no” so that someone else can take advantage of this opportunity.
