The ice is coming off the river and water levels are on the rise. The wave train at Bate Island in Ottawa is looking pretty good right now. I dropped by yesterday to watch some kayakers getting thier cold water surf fix on. The NCC is current;y working on the parking are a right by the wall, people parked on the far side of the island and lugged their gear and boats over to the wall.
