New video by tao: I don't normally post things like this, but here is the unedited full run of my lap down Tongren Grand Canyon in Guizhou, China. I got no warm up laps or practice laps. I had 40 minutes to walk the riverbank and look at it, and then it was go-time. The rapids are not super hard. The crazy boiling currents deflected from all the wild water-carved stone is the tricky part. Still, it was a beautiful river, and this race was the only opportunity available to paddle it, as it is ban...
