Which Blades? Mini max, square tops...

So I'm buying a mini max this spring and want to set it up to row (in addition to paddle-boating)
I decided to go all-in on some square tops, with the goal of making rowing easier and more fun for my wife, and eventually my daughters (currently 5 & 7)
I need to decide on blades (narrow, wide, shoal cut.) Anyone have any input or reason to go with one or the other in this situation? Obviously, I won't be able to switch once I pull the trigger.
I'm used to just yarding on cheap Carlisles...
