Your oar length experience w/ 72" wide NRS cat frame?

I bought 9.5' oars and they feel a little short--the angle of dive is fairly steep. I'm not sure I'm getting the power I need/want.
The frame rides on 16' Aire Jag tubes. I sit on a standard NRS seat. 8" high oar towers.
I think part of the issue is that NRS frames have oar towers that kick out 3-4" making it more like a 78-80" frame. I went with what the shop recommended. I see NRS recommends 10' minimum oars on this frame width.
