Lower Salmon?

Thinking of doing a trip on the Lower Salmon the first week of August, have never been. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Best place to put in/take out, good camp spots, good place to layover, hikes, etc. Rapids seem to be easy class 2/3? Any rapids we need to be aware of? Any bears? Have heard there are a lot of rattle snakes. Thanks!
