Removing/Replacing T Grip on Carlisle Paddle

I'd trying to cut down an outfitter paddle, and it seems clear that I won't be able to remove the T grip without destroying the paddle. Has anyone had success removing them or finding replacement t trips? I was going to ask carlisle, but they site seems to be down and I can't find contact information.
