Am. Whitewater: Management Plan to protect the area surrounding Green & Colorado Rivers

To protect the river bed of Green and Colorado Rivers, The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands (FFSL) is developing the first comprehensive management plan for land sections surrounding these rivers while they are also updating the existing Mineral Leasing Plan (MLP). Keeping in mind increase in mining, oil & gas development in the lands and increased use of river sections for recreation, authorities have found the need for such a management plan to protect the river area necessary.
