Berlanga throws lingerie and money at ‘stripper’ De La Hoya

Edgar Berlanga and Oscar De La Hoya traded words during yesterday’s final press conference

Edgar Berlanga is on the verge of fighting Hamzah Sheeraz this weekend, but you might not know it from the antics that transpired during the final press conference.

While on stage Berlanga directed his attention to Golden Boy promoter Oscar De La Hoya, retrieving a bag that contained lingerie and a wig and slinging it across the stage at De La Hoya before grabbing a stack of cash to make it rain, repeatedly calling him a stripper.

De La Hoya attempted to take it in stride but felt the urge to fire back, reverting back to his past shtick about Berlanga not being a ‘real Puerto Rican’ and whatnot, before the arguing escalated to the point you’d think Berlanga and De La Hoya were the ones fighting tomorrow.
