Ricky Hatton has the urge to fight again and will appear for a fight in the Middle East at the end of the year.

46-year-old Ricky Hatton will end his 13 year retirement this year as he’s announced that he’ll be coming back to the ring on December 2 for a middleweight fight in Dubai. Hatton (45-3, 32 KOs), who was a 140-pounder in his heyday, will be fighting well above his prime weight to take on Eisa Al Dah (8-3, 4 KOs), but considering he’s been out of action for over a decade it’s not all that surprising.

“The main thing is the fight will take place, and I can’t wait, I’m really looking forward to it,” Hatton said.

Hatton’s last professional fight was a stoppage loss to Vyacheslav Senchenko in November 2012 which came after a highlight reel KO at the hands of Manny Pacquiao in 2019.

Obviously Hatton will tell fans that his time away from the sport has proven to rejuvenated himself to some extent, but his opponent is another 46-year-old who never came close to the world level that Hatton was once on, so it should be a fairly even playing field in that regard.
