‘I would come back for Usyk: Fury says he’d only return to boxing for a fair trilogy match

Tyson Fury believes he was robbed of a win over Oleksandr Usyk in their rematch.

Tyson Fury has been asked repeated about his current retirement and whether or not he’d consider a return to the ring for another big fight. A potential fight between Fury and Anthony Joshua has been floated for some time now, but that doesn’t appear to be in line with Fury’s desires.

Speaking to Sky Sports, Fury says he would really only consider a return for a third fight against Oleksandr Usyk — but that it would have to take place back in the UK.

“If I was going to come back, I would come back for Usyk, but I want a fair result in England. That would be the fight I want next.

“I don’t want any favours, I want a fair fight and a fair result which I know I didn’t get. I thought I won that second fight by five rounds. I watched it literally 250 times and each way, I never see there’s a way he won. But, they can do what they want.”

Aside from the fact that he firmly believes he deserved to beat Usyk in their last fight, Fury says he feels he’s accomplished everything he wanted in the sport and that leaves him content. Fury insists that he really beat Usyk and was done hard by boxing politics, but that he’s not looking to dwell on that in his retirement.
