​Tapales and Canoy Capture WBC International Titles in Gensan

General Santos City, Philippines — In a thrilling night of boxing at Venue 88,  Marlon Tapales delivered a spectacular performance, stopping Jon Jon Jet in the 3rd round to claim the WBC International Silver Super Bantamweight Title. Jet was unable to continue due to a broken nose, securing Tapales’s victory in a thrilling showdown.

In the main supporting bout, Joey Canoy and Minh Phat Sam engaged in an all-out war from start to finish. Canoy ultimately stopped Sam in the 10th round, capturing the WBC International Minimumweight Title. Minh Phat Sam was forced to stop the fight in the final round due to a barrage of punches from Canoy.

Under the undercard fights:
Christian Pitt Laurente knocked out Alvin Lagumbay in the 2nd round with a powerful straight left hand.
Kevin Villanueva narrowly defeated veteran Ramel Antaran via a close 8-round split decision.
Cholo Alvarez stopped Carlo Romulo in the 4th round.
In the opening bout, Christopher Medina defeated Raylan Barcenas in the 3rd round.
