‘I know he’s ready’: Haney rounds out training camp ahead of clash with Ramirez
Devin Haney aims to show improved form in Jose Ramirez fight.
Devin Haney returns on May 2 in a fight against Jose Ramirez, which will take place in Times Square. Ahead of the fight, where Haney looks to show improved form from his last outing against Ryan Garcia, DAZN takes viewers behind the scenes of Haney’s training camp in preparation for the bout.
Devin’s father/trainer Bill Haney kicks off the feature with news that they’ve incorporated Hall of Fame fighter Shane Mosley into their camp, who they expect will help Haney reach his full potential.
“I know he’s ready,” Mosley would say of Devin. “I don’t feel like it, I know he’s ready. I just can’t wait to see him execute.”
Bill Haney would exude the same level of confidence heading into the fight.
“They didn’t think we was going to make the moves, we brought in the right people, we got the A Team,” Bill Haney says. “In this case it’s the Dream Team.”
Devin Haney himself goes on to talk about getting ready for Ramirez, expecting to be an improved version of himself and coming out victorious as he anticipates going into a rematch with Ryan Garcia later this year. Check out the full video feature at the top.
