Boxing streaming and TV schedule for March 4 - 8
Lauren Price and Natasha Jonas fight to unify welterweight titles, and more!
Tuesday, March 4
TrillerTV+, 8:00 pm ET, CountryBox: Where Music Meets Boxing. A little throwback fun for anyone who remembers the origin of “Nathen Anthen,” as this week’s fight poster hypes the main event appearance of “Ferenando Cuza” (it’s actually Fernando). It’s his fifth CountryBox appearance, with two more slated before the 4th of July. The music this week comes from Donny Lee, arguably the best product of the famous Hamilton, Ontario-to-Nashville country music pipeline.
Thursday, March 6
DAZN, 9:00 pm ET, Golden Boy Fight Nights. The main event is “Gucci” Manny Flores vs Jorge Leyva. 22 year old Uzbek Olympian Ruslan Abdullaev makes his pro debut on the undercard!
Friday, March 7
DAZN, 6:30 am ET, India Professional Boxing League. Sergio Pettis, the MMA guy, makes his pro boxing debut. Also on the card are Luis Arias, who beat Jarret Hurd and drew against Gabe Rosado in headier days, and former Golden Boy undercard staple Luis Feliciano. I’m not knowledgeable enough on the domestic scene in India to spotlight anyone based on merit or potential… But, a quick glance at the lineup has me curious about the 2nd pro fight of a woman named Shweta Shweta.
Channel 5 (UK), 2:00 pm ET, Harlem Eubank vs Tyrone McKenna. A Wasserman show from Brighton, home of Fatboy Slim’s favorite soccer team. That’s likely why this show is called “Right Here, Right Now,” after the song he presumably wrote as part of a 1998 bet with Damon Albarn over who could create the most successful 6+ minute song with fewer than 20 unique words in it. Old heads might argue this show could be named after 90s rock band Jesus Jones, but that’s unlikely given that they’re from Wiltshire, over 100 miles away. Michael Conlan returns to action for the first time since 2023 in the chief support.
Sky Sports (UK), 4:00 pm ET, Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price. The press release says this will stream on Peacock, but the poster doesn’t show their logo. If memory serves, the last Boxxer show they said would air on Peacock didn’t, so this may be only for our friends in the United Kingdom. The main event is for the WBA, WBC, and IBF welterweight titles, and Caroline Dubois defends her WBC lightweight title in the chief support. BLH will have live updates (if there’s a US option)
DAZN, 8:30 pm ET, Most Valuable Promotions. This one is from Toronto, not the usual Orlando hotel where MVP usually run prospect shows. Why? Because your headliner is the 31 year old fighting pride of Ontario (and also Ashton Sylve knocker-outer) Lucas Bahdi. He’ll face undefeated James Racaza, fighting outside his native Philippines for the first time as a pro. Typical undercard here, but there’s some novelty in Tammara Thibeault fighting for the second time as a pro, once again with three minute rounds. There’s another women’s fight on the card set for the conventional two minute rounds, too.
Saturday, March 8
ProBox, 7:00 pm ET, Arnold Khegai vs Joet Gonzalez. From Long Beach, California. Nicholas “Axe Man” Walters fights in the chief support. Deeper on the undercard, Kelvin Davis tests himself against TBA, and Brazilian Olympian Wanderley Pereira, who had the misfortune of running into Oleksandr Khyzhniak in Round 2 in Paris, makes his pro debut.
