UFC Fight Night 252 video: Jean Silva tries to stop his own fight after smoking Melsik Baghdasaryan, calls out Bryce Mitchell

0 40

At UFC Fight Night 252, Jean Silva called “game.”

In a featherweight bout on the main card at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, the Fighting Nerds product Silva (17-0 MMA, 4-0 UFC) continued his roll of dominance as he pulverized Melsik Baghdasaryan (8-3 MMA, 3-2 UFC) with strikes en route to a stoppage at 4:15 of Round 1.

A beautiful one-two, left-right combination sat Baghdasaryan to the canvas. Silva then looked to referee Kevin MacDonald, as if to say Baghdasaryan was clearly done. When MacDonald didn’t stop the fight, Silva made him do so after some brutal strikes – including rare ground-and-pound elbows to the body.

After the fight, Silva had a name on the tip of his tongue.

“There’s a guy that has been talking a lot of crap – Bryce Mitchell,” Silva said in the cage after the fight. “Dana, put me in front of him and I’ll do the job.”

Silva has exploded into the international spotlight since his UFC signing in 2023. He moves to 4-0 with four TKO stoppages in the promotion.

Baghdasaryan has now lost two of his most recent three.
