Bronze medalist Cindy Ngamba signs deal with Boxxer
Cindy Ngamba will make her pro boxing debut on March 7.
Cindy Ngamba, who won middleweight bronze at the Paris Olympics while representing the Refugee Olympic Team, has signed a multi-fight deal with Boxxer.
Ngamba, 26 and born in Cameroon, will make her professional boxing debut on March 7, part of the card headlined by Natasha Jonas vs Lauren Price in a welterweight title unification at the famed Royal Albert Hall in London.
Ngamba’s opponent has yet to be announced.
The card will also feature lightweight titleholder Caroline Dubois in action, plus featherweight Karriss Artingstall in a step-up bout against Raven Chapman, who looks to bounce back from her loss to Skye Nicolson last October.
Ngamba was the first-ever Olympic medalist for the Refugee Olympic Team, which has competed in the Summer Games since 2016.
The 5’8” Ngamba lives in Bolton, England, now, so the move to sign with the UK-based Boxxer, which has a strong interest in women’s boxing, lines up nicely for her to give the pro ranks a run.
