New Year’s Resolution

0 14

By Ana Braga

Every end of the year, we are confronted with the idea of getting serious about writing down a New Year’s Resolution list . We even tell ourselves, This time I’m really going to do everything that’s on the list! If it’s either losing weight, joining a new gym, going on that dream vacation or buying a new car. I feel most people will buy the car, as an example, than losing the weight. Why is losing weight the most difficult thing to accomplish? Do we perhaps see food as a prize? Perhaps love? I believe that’s why certain fattening dishes are called comfort foods, everything that tastes super delicious seems to be bad for you.

Now that’s not fair is it? But can we go back to the New Year’s resolutions? I believe I achieved most or all I put in my resolutions the past few years. How do you do that Ana? You may ask. I try to be realistic and not put a crazy goal to achieve because I’m mistaking it for a dream. You can add anything you want to your resolutions, but when is too unrealistic you might get frustrated and give up on the whole thing.

A New Year’s Resolution is meant to keep you grounded and hopeful. I just rather mine be attainable goals than dreams. I can still dream though but not on my New Year’s Resolutions.

I’m still working on my resolutions for 2025, which will include, as always, the gym and fitness/nutrition goals. I also want to work on empowering and mental strength goals, believe me, we will all need it starting January 20th. It will be about how to move and react as the new administration unfolds their insane agenda. It’s going to be upsetting and I want to be ready for it but I don’t want to suffer along the four years.

I’m excited to see how the #BBBCrew coalition will unfold, being in a supportive community with positive people is a must.
