They have welcomed huge names from the social media, TV and fight world into the ring.

And KSI revealed Manchester United legend Rooney was among those to personally reach out via Instagram DM to try arrange a fight.

The former England captain and Misfits were even in talks at one stage until Rooney instead took the job as Plymouth manager.

But KSI warned there will be more famous faces showing up on the Misfits scene with demand high.

He said: “We’ve had quite a few interesting people wanting to fight. Obviously, I can’t say who.

“But with Misfits, people understand that there’s a lot of eyes on it, and there’s a lot of exposure, and there’s a lot of excitement around it and people just want a piece of it.”

KSI was due to headline his return on August 31 in Dublin in a wild two-on-one bout against Anthony Taylor and Slim Albaher.

But he was agonisingly forced to pull out of the event with an excruciating hand injury.

Instead, Rooney’s former United team-mate Danny Simpson – also a Premier League winner with Leicester – will step in.

Simpson, 37, headlines against social media star Danny Aarons, 22.

KSI, 31, has instead pushed back his return till next year having not fought since losing for the first time in October against Tommy Fury, 25.

He said: “This is why I’m glad it’s my hand and not like my leg because I’m still able to train.

“I’m still able to train as intensely as I normally would train, two times every day, except for Sundays, where I train once and do like a 10k etc.

“But yeah, I’m still able to train very, very hard it’s just I just can’t punch. So I think for me right now, I’m just making sure fitness wise, I’m 100 per cent.

“And I’m constantly in the right frame of mind as well, so yeah, everything’s going well.

“And then slowly, I’ll be easing myself to punch in again, building that punch resistance again in my hand, and then we’ll go from there.”
