0 6
On Wednesday Korakuen Hall will play host to a Japanese Youth Bantamweight title fight, as the unbeaten and enigmatic Takahiro Tai (3-0, 3) [田井宜広] takes on the once beaten Fumiya Fuse (10-1, 1) [富施郁哉] for the vacant title. Today, ahead of their bout, the two men took part in their weight in, and both of the 23 years olds made weight, and great at the weigh in.

On the scales the unbeaten Tai came in at 116.85lbs, making the the Bantamweight limit very comfortably for his first bout at Korakuen Hall. At the weigh in he eplained it's been a long time since he's bene in Tokyo, or got on the Shinkansen (better known as the Bullet train in English). He explain that his major target for tomorrow is to win and claim his first professional title. The hard hitting and exciting Tai tyrnes 24 in a few days time and explained that he wants to have a good birthday, of course it would clearly be a better birthday if he could call himself the Japanese Youth champion.

Fuse on the other hand made the weight dead on, weighing in at 118lbs, but explained that it was difficult to lose weight and it seems he may have struggled just a little bit. After making weight he explained that he though Tai would be taller than he actually is, and surprised by the fact the men are very similar heights, in fact Fuse looked to be the taller man when they stood together.
