In a close, three-round affair, Michael Page managed to even the score against former champion Douglas Lima. After 15 minutes, the Bellator 267 went to the judges, two of whom gave ‘MVP’ the nod for a split decision win. On Twitter, professional fighters and media reacted to the bout.
Lima composed and fundamentally sound. Page innovative and creative. 50/50 fight. Only difference in the real world is page easily finished by pure aggression and mall. Disagree it is simple to prove. Rules change the game ♂️

I personally felt that Lima did more damage in the round.

MVP is one of the worst things I’ve seen. It’s all about point fighting and distance scoring. I’m an old retired geezer and in a no time limit fight I would put him in the morgue. If you doubt that I’ll bet a few mil with all I’m worth at any venue ☠️

It is entirely dependent on how the judges cageside gauged the damage landed by each fighter.
And before anyone accuses me of being an MVP hater, he has long been one of my favourite fighters to watch in MMA.
