The holder of the Nicest MF Belt is as nice as ever while analyzing a wide variety of fight scenes

Stephen ‘Wonderboy’ Thompson is a fan favorite for not only his dynamic exploits in the Octagon (Woodley fights notwithstanding), but for his disarmingly nice personality. Who can forget Wonderboy’s joint interview with Woodley back in 2017, where he innocently asked, “Why you gotta be so mean, man?”

Thompson brings that aw, schucks charisma to a GQ Sports produced video now on YouTube. The latest entry in the “Breakdown” series, the UFC welterweight analyzes several fights scenes in a wide range of movies and TV shows. Thompson takes on Bruce Lee’s KO via ‘pee pee strike,’ The Matrix (1999), and far less serious fight scenes in shows such as Always Sunny in Philadelphia.

As entertainment content gets consumed at a rapid rate during this quarantine, anything new is most welcome. Wonderboy’s GQ Breakdown video comes in at a solid 28 minutes and two seconds, so there’s part of your day planned.

For anyone who enjoys a good fight scene and a good breakdown, check out Navy SEAL Jocko Willink take a look at scenes of combat from movies such as Lone Survivor (2013), Zero Dark Thirty (2012), and American Sniper (2014). Willink is an author and hosts a podcast with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioner Echo Charles called The Jocko Podcast.
