PFL 6: Cooper vs. Kusch live results and discussion

The penultimate week of the Professional Fighters League regular season has arrived, and it takes place at Revel Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey this evening. (Thursday, August 16th). It’s the second and final regular season bouts for the welterweight and middleweight divisions, so it’s all about racking up vital points to qualify for the playoffs and the chance to win $1 million.
The main event pits welterweight Ray Cooper III against Pavel Kusch, with Cooper coming off his stunningly one-sided TKO of Jake Shields (who is on the prelims), while Kusch scored a major upset by submitting Abubakar Nurmagomedov. All of the middleweight bouts are on the prelims, but the most notable one features UFC veterans John Howard and Bruno Santos.
In non-tournament action, Olympic gold medalist Kayla Harrison has her second pro MMA fight, as she battles Jozette Cotton in a lightweight encounter.
