Junior dos Santos meets Francis Ngannou at UFC 215 in Edmonton

Heavyweights Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou will clash on September 9th at UFC 215.

Heavyweight heavy hitters Junior dos Santos and Francis Ngannou are scheduled to meet in Edmonton, Canada, at UFC 215, according to a report from the Edmonton Sun.

Former champion Junior dos Santos (18-5) will try to rebound from his latest attempt at the belt, when he was knocked out by Stipe Miocic in the first round, in May. Before that, he defeated Ben Rothwell by unanimous decision in April 2016. Dos Santos has been alternating wins and losses since December 2012, when he lost the title to Cain Velasquez.

Rising star Francis Ngannou (10-1) will try to make it six in a row when he meets dos Santos, all of his UFC wins have come within the first two rounds. In his latest appearance, Ngannou knocked out former champion Andrei Arlovski, in January.

UFC 215 takes place at the Rogers Centre on September 9th. The main card airs exclusively on pay-per-view.
