Meghan cheers for Harry as he races face-first down bobsled track
This is the moment Prince Harry raced down one of the fastest bobsled tracks in the world during training for the Invictus Games in Canada.
Footage shows the Duke of Sussex sporting a white helmet as he speeds headfirst down the ice in Whistler, north of Vancouver.
Cowbells sounded as the royal completed his ride, reaching 99mph – albeit with a bumpy ending.
Taking off his helmet, Harry can be heard saying: ‘It was awesome.’
Meghan Markle was the model partner, cheering on her husband as he headed for his second skeleton run of the day and bending down to take the best shot.
The Duchess of Sussex looked impressed as the prince climbed on the tiny slider and raced down head-first.
He can be heard telling people who had gathered at the slope: ‘I am going until the sun goes down.’
The California-based couple is visiting athletes taking part in training camps and promoting the Games coming to Vancouver and Whistler in 2025.
The prince founded the the sports event for wounded or sick service personnel and veterans after he served in Afghanistan.
Next year will be the first to feature winter sports, including the skeleton, skiing and wheelchair curling.
This week has been a busy one for the Sussexes, with a flurry of announcements.
Meghan signed a deal with Lemonada Media to record new podcast shows, and the company will distribute her previous series.
Her Archetypes podcast about female stereotypes ran for just one series before her lucrative deal with Spotify ended in 2023.
The couple also relaunched their Archewell website, the name of their foundation, rebranding it The Office of Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
