Russia: Home team reaches tank biathlon final

Russia's team won the second semi-final of the International Army Games 2018 tank biathlon contest in Alabino near Moscow on Wednesday, securing a place in the final of the competition.

Along with Russia, teams from Venezuela, Armenia and Mongolia battled for a place in the final.

All four teams performed relay laps of the circuit and hit objects imitating tanks, helicopters and other targets. Each country's team used only one tank.

The last of the three semi-finals is scheduled for Thursday and will see teams from Serbia, Belarus, India, and Kazakhstan take to the track.

The tank biathlon contest concludes on August 11.
