Frankfurt (dpa) - The majority of the German Olympic delegation returned to cheers at Frankfurt airport on Monday following the conclusion of successful Winter Games in Pyeongchang.Flag-bearer Christian Ehrhoff hugged his daughter Olivia tightly, while biathlon queen Laura Dahlmeier said she was looking forward to two or three days‘ rest. "It‘s lovely to come back home," she said."Such a parade is already special. We don‘t experience this every day, and that‘s why we‘re enjoying it," said ice hockey player Marcel Goc wearing his silver medal as he and the other German Olympians were greeted enthusiastically by hundreds of fans, friends and family members.Bob gold medallist Mariama Jamanka said, "This is awesome!"Included in the travelling party of more than 150 athletes was the Goc‘s ice hockey team that claimed a best-ever silver medal after losing out to the Olympic Athletes from Russia in Sunday‘s final.Overall German athletes won 31 medals with 14 gold, 10 silver and seven bronze, leaving the country second in the medal table behind Norway (14-14-11).
