[Outdoor Track & Field] 4 Individual National Champions, 2 Team National Runner-Ups at OT&F
GULF SHORES, Ala. - (Complete Results) - The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) saw four individual event national champions and 72 athletes named All-Americans at the 2017 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field National Championships at Mickey Miller Blackwell Stadium.
Indiana Tech came away with two national runner-up finishes as both the men's and women's teams finished second in the team standings. The Warrior men finished with 64 points while British Columbia won the team championship with 71 points. For the women, Indiana Tech finished with 56 points to champion Wayland Baptist's 75 points.
Indiana Tech won the men's 4x100 relay when Matt Lockridge, Trevor Stanley, Deshon Collier, Wayne Sharbahn ran a 39.83 to capture first. The other three national champions came on the women's side. Aquinas' 4x800 relay team of Melissa Winchester, Alexis Miller, Sydney Anderson, Adri Sigafoose won with a time of 8:53.57 to set a new school record. Brianna Woods won her second consecutive national championship in the 100 Meters, running an 11.25 for the Warriors. Indiana Tech's 4x100 relay team of Tia Holmes, Patricia Thompson, Brittnee Perry, Brianna Woods finished first in a time of 45.21.
