[Men's Basketball] OLSM's Cooper Abrams Signs With The Saints
Cooper Abrams, son of Rhonda and Steven Abrams, has signed his national letter of intent to continue his basketball career as a Saint. Abrams, who preps at Orchard Lake St. Mary's High School, led the Eaglets to a 17-5 record this past season.
At OLSM, Cooper was a First Team selection at the L'Anse Cruise North Christmas Tournament and was named team captain. The Eaglets won the holiday tournament and have reached the district final the past two seasons. OLSM finished the year ranked 2nd in Oakland County and 17th in the state of Michigan. Abrams, who ranks in the top 25th percentile of his class, averaged 13.1 points per game and connected on 49% of his shots from beyond the three point arc. He also chipped in with 2.8 assists, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per contest.
When asked why he choose Aquinas, Abrams stated, "The moment I walked into the gym, I had several players come up to welcome me and introduced themselves. The campus is great and the College is in a great city. The guys welcomed me in and I felt like I fit right in and I knew that this is where I wanted to be the second I left campus. I attended a Catholic High School and it was important to me to keep growing my faith in every way I could."
