Markieff Morris has been cleared to play in Game 2
Morris twisted his ankle in Game 1 vs. Boston
Washington Wizards forward Markieff Morris suffered a sprained left ankle in the second quarter of the Wizards’ Game 1 matchup against the Boston Celtics on Sunday.
According to Yahoo! Sports Shams Charania, Morris has been cleared to play in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
With 7:18 remaining in the second quarter, Morris elevated and drilled a step-back jump shot over Al Horford. But he landed on Horford’s foot and immediately went to the ground, grabbing at his ankle.
Morris was in visible pain and needed assistance to get to his feet. He went to the line to shoot the free throw before the Wizards intentionally fouled to get him out of the game. Morris then exited to the locker room.
The Wizards, who held a 16-0 first-quarter lead, went on to lose, 123-111.
