OMG: Is May 16 also gonna be D'Antoni vs. Brown?!

Bracing ourselves as fans for the Lakers missing out on the lottery is a necessity at this point. You have to. It's a sad fate but it's important to embrace as a potentiality to avoid the emotional fallout.

But it just dawned on me that May 16 might be the Western Conference Finals Game 1 featuring Mike D'Antoni's Rockets vs. (Parking Valet) Mike Brown's Warriors. I just...I can't.

Should we Lakers fans start some planning some type of therapeutic retreat if this happens? State-by-state? A group support system? You really shouldn't throw the word 'cursed' around too often. But I don't think a 1000 Magic Johnson smiles for a 1000 days could ever make us recover from that Ghidorah horror show.

I'm sorry to bring this all up...but it's important to mentally prepare for the worst. Please basketball gods, spare us at least one of those three!
