Westmont Falls to UC Berkeley

By Kaci Mexico November 6, 2016 In their third game in under a week, second ranked Westmont Women’s Basketball (1-0) played in an exhibition match against the University of California Berkeley in the incredible Haas Pavilion. The Golden Bears defeated the Warriors by a score of 87-48. In the first quarter, the Bears outscored the Warriors 19-10, but the Warriors answered back in the second quarter with 15 points, to the Bears 17 points. The first half ended with Berkeley ahead by 11 points in a score of 36-25. In the third quarter, the Bears increased their lead to a decisive 28 points when they outscored the Warriors 26-9; and in the fourth quarter the Bears put up 25 more points, with the Warriors scoring 14.
