Lakers "Ring Of Honor"

After watching tonite's game....and seeing the love poured out for Metta World Peace, I got to thinking about all of the past Laker players that have helped us win championship trophies and raise 16 banners, yet will never be inducted into the NBA Hall of Fame...or have their jerseys retired next to Magic Johnson's or James Worthy's.

Yet, these players bleed Purple & Gold...and are beloved and honored by Laker fans.

And I thought...the Lakers should create their own Hall of Fame.

Something like the Dallas Cowboys' Ring Of Honor.

Where we induct & celebrate former Laker greats that were vital contributors to previous Lakers dynasties or eras, and showcase those names and jersey numbers, in one form or another, at the Staples Center.

And it doesn't have to just be players. It can be coaches, executives, trainers...etc.

So two questions.....

1. Do you like the idea?
