Salary cap projection drops to $101M. KD salary "haircut" now only $3.5M

With every dollar the salary cap goes down, KD's potential max salary does, as well, leaving him a smaller difference between the absolute max (now $35.3M instead of $36M at the previous cap projection of $103M) and the lower non-Bird option ($31.8M). If he's willing to accept the non-Bird $31.8M, we would be salary capped out and can re-sign all our guys with Bird rights (Andre, Shaun, Ian, etc) without worrying about cap space.

Hopefully this makes it easier and easier for KD to decide to take a bit less to maximize the talent around him :)

This would only be for one season, as KD can sign for an even higher max the following summer.

Wouldn't be surprised if the cap drops another million or two before it's all said and done...
