[Baseball] Apaches topple Angelina

LUFKIN - Braden Wise and Blaze Beason each had three hits among the 15-hit attack by the Apaches as No. 1 Tyler Junior College defeated Angelina College 10-6 on Tuesday.

It was the 13th straight win for the Apaches who improve to 24-9. The Roadrunners fall to 13-22. TJC has a three-game series beginning Friday at Mike Carter Field against LSU-Eunice, which is ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division II. There is a doubleheader on Friday with the first game set to start at 4 p.m. On Saturday, a single game is slated and first pitch is set for 1 p.m.

TJC is the top-ranked squad in NJCAA Division II. Angelina competes in NJCAA Division I.
