[Softball] Softball sweeps ICCAC awards for second week in a row

ICCAC.org | AMES -- The Kirkwood softball team is having a big week already as they were recently announced as the new No. 1 team in the nation after sweeping Iowa Lakes on Monday, improving their record to 40-2. Individual awards have come right in line with the team success as the Eagles also swept the weekly ICCAC softball awards for the second consecutive week.

Yesterday, the league office announced that Maddie Hansen was awarded the Division II Softball Player of the Week while Angie McBeain was recognized as Pitcher of the Week for the week of April 10-16. The announcement comes on the heels of Taylor Nearad and Lexi Kinnaird sweeping last week's awards, winning Player and Pitcher of the Week, respectively.
