Holly Winterburn made an immediate impact in WNBA pre-season action, scoring 12 points for Atlanta Dream against Washington Mystics.
The Great Britain guard led the Dream in scoring in an 83-72 pre-season defeat, with Atlanta struggling with turnovers and inconsistent shooting across the contest.
Winterburn is with Atlanta on a training camp contract as she looks to earn a place in the league after establishing herself as one of Britain’s leading guards. The former Charnwood guard had won a Cup and League title with Athinaikos this season in Greece.
Her 12-point outing provides an encouraging early marker ahead of final roster decisions and the start of the WNBA regular season.
