Oregon has landed a pledge from USC transfer guard Jerry Easter, his father told ZAGSBLOG.

The 6-foot-5 Ohio native averaged 4.4 points and 3.0 rebounds as a freshman at USC.

He initially chose USC over Ohio State, Oregon, SMU and Vanderbilt.

“Jerry is an elite playing making lead guard that has proven to be one of the best guards in the country,” Link Academy head coach Chad Myers told ZAGSBLOG when he committed. “His size and athleticism for his position make him college ready from day 1. He has proven to be a high level scorer and decision maker. He will be able to guard all three perimeter spots right away.”

Easter joins forwards Taylor Bol Bowen (Alabama), Andrew Meadow (Boise State), Pharaoh Compton (San Diego State), Tyrone Riley (San Francisco) and guard Jasper Johnson (Kentucky) in Dana Altmans’ portal class.
