Notre Dame lands Gonzaga transfer Braeden Smith

Gonzaga transfer point guard Braeden Smith has committed to Notre Dame, per Joe Tipton.
This is the third school for the 6-foot Smith, who spent his first two seasons at Colgate before moving on to Gonzaga in the WCC, where he averaged 5.1 points and 3.6 assists last year.
At Colgate, he averaged 12.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 2023-24 before transferring to Gonzaga.
Smith joins Penn graduate transfer center Ethan Roberts and WInthrop transfer Logan Duncomb in Micah Shrewsberry’s portal class.
