Florida State head coach Luke Loucks has landed another commitment from a top-target in this year’s transfer portal cycle. The Seminoles have landed Missouri transfer Anthony Robinson II, a native of Tallahassee, who departed the Tigers after three seasons with the program.

Playing in 96 games for the Tigers over the course of three seasons, Robinson saw a decrease in starts this season, starting in 19 of his 33 appearances and averaging 8.9, 3.1 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game.

Since Missouri hired head coach Dennis Gates, the two programs have been closely related to each other, dating back to Gates’ time as an assistant with the Seminoles under Leonard Hamilton.

Notably, Gates’ first season as an assistant at Florida State was also the senior year of current Seminoles head coach Luke Loucks.

Robinson is one of eight newcomers that have pledged commitments to Florida State so far, including two additional transfers in UNC Asheville transfer Kameron Taylor and Cincinnati transfer Shon Abaev.
