Villanova loses guards Acaden Lewis, Bryce Lindsay to transfer portal, NBA Draft

Villanova took a double-hit over the weekend when guards Acaden Lewis and Bryce Lindsay both announced their plans to enter the transfer portal.
Lewis, a freshman who flipped to Villanova from Kentucky, is also testing the NBA Draft waters.
“I will be declaring for the 2026 NBA Draft, while maintaining my college eligibility and entering the transfer portal,” Lewis wrote on social media.

The 6-foot-2 Lewis, a Washington, D.C. native, started all 33 games as a true freshman, averaging 12.2 points, 5.3 assists, and 1.9 steals while helping Villanova to a 24-9 record and NCAA Tournament berth.
The 6-3 Lindsay, a Baltimore native, averaged 12.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists.
He will head to his fourth school in four years after previously playing at Texas A&M and James Madison.
