Hofstra is headed to the Big Dance for the first time in 25 years.
The Pride secured their bid to the NCAA Tournament with a 75-69 win in the CAA Championship game against Monmouth.
Hofstra guard Preston Edmead led the way with 26 points in the championship game. Guards Cruz Davis and German Plotnikov also contributed with 12 and 10 points respectively.
Hofstra advanced to the conference championship game with a miraculous game winning shot off the glass in the final seconds of their semi-final game against Towson.
The championship game between Hofstra and Monmouth ended in similar fashion to the meetings between the two teams in the regular season. Hofstra swept Monmouth in their matchups this season culminating in the conference championship.
Monmouth was one win away from securing its first NCAA Tournament bid since 2006.
