BY ALEJANDRO LOPEZ

A new player stands alone as the second highest scorer in a single game in NBA history.

Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo scored 83 points on his way to a blowout victory against the Washington Wizards.

Adebayo shot 20-43 from the field, 7-22 from long distance and 36-43 from the free throw line.

Adebayo not only became the second highest scorer in NBA history but also broke the record for the most free throws attempted in a single game, previously held by Dwight Howard.
